Not necessarily.: Many people wear their favorite old worn out shoes forever & never have trouble, but if you start to have symptoms of planter fasciitis, finding comfortable shoes such as Nike, Brooks, New Balance or the like is best. Also you May need inserts made. For your present shoes.

Sole Sacrifice..: If you are having symptoms consistent with plantar fasciitis, shoes and the condition of the shoes are a major consideration in the remedy. There are other considerations that are equally important, but changing worn out shoes is a must, and many times the only thing necessary.
