Yes, if treated.: Bile is secreted from the liver and stored in the gallbladder. After a meal the gallbladder contracts and the bile enters the small intestine where it emulsifies fat ands aids fat digestion. The bile is reabsorbed in the terminal ileum. Surgical removal of the terminal ileum causes bile to enter the colon causing diarrhea. It can also lead to bile acid deficiency and fat malabsorption>steatorrhea
