Generalized pruritus: or itching all over , can be due to several causes, not necessarily obstructive jaundice, most commonly is dry skin, allergy to certain foods, or allergic eczema, just to name a few, moisturize your skin well, OTC antihistamine, read the labels well, if that doesn't work seek medical attention, good luck

Anemia: Iron-def anemia has been associated with itching thus you need to find out the cause for the low hgb level. Otherwise I agree with Dr Hagreb's statements.
