Sharp pain on my left upper abdomen for 2 weeks, now i lost my sense of taste. i can't taste sugar at all but could taste salt a little. what can it be?

Any numbness?: WIth the sharp pain, do you have numbness, tingling, or burning in the chest or legs? I would recommend an MRI of the spine and maybe of the brain to rule out inflammation. These 2 symptoms aren't usually caused by a problem in only one area. Probably best if you see your doctor to get checked out.
