19 years, with a lip: Hi, why did you go to see this DR. Please provide me the location, the size, is it fixed to deep tissues or is mobile, does it generate pain to touch, does it displace with palpation. Does it bother you. You need an ultrasound, assess the base, a surgeon should counsel you, personally I would recommend removal of the lipoma, therefore you should see a surgeon.

What is the question: Lipoma is a benign fatty tumor. If its small and doesn't bother you there is no need to remove it, nevertheless, they do enlarge and become unsightly so you can have it removed then with a bigger scar.
