I started running a week ago. now i have a side stitch on my left side every time i walk through the the day. help!!

Slow down: That sounds like a muscle spasm of your abdominal muscles, which got overworked when you started running. Take it a little slower. When you get the "stitch", slow down or stop walking, take slow deep breaths until it passes. Try stretching your arms overhead and count to 10 to stretch out those muscles. In a wk or so, gradually restart your running program, but go easy and work up slowly.
