Ive been running for the past two weeks, increasing my miles by 1 every other week but two days ago i noticed a pain on my left knee. it makes a popping noise everytime i bend it and hurts a bit to walk on but its not unbearable. is this runners knee?

Probably: It sounds like you have increased mileage appropriately but you can still develop runner's knee, aka chondromlacia patella (knee cap cartllage irritation). Some rest, quad and hip strengthening and IT band stretching can be helpful. Also be sure to wear proper shoes and run on an even surface whenever possible until pain decreases.
