Hole in gum : You may be having an abscessed tooth, therefore the presence of the hole on top of your gum. The dentist can check the tooth by taking an X-ray and performing a pulp testing. If they don't do these then you can ask for an endodontist referral (a dentist who performs root canals) and they will be able to check and diagnose the problem you are having. It is important to have this checked ASAP.
