Does not add up: How do you know it was lambda bence jones in urine without a urine IFA? This issue is not suitable for this forum as a diagnosis of myeloma requires results of other tests as well, e.g., bone X-ray, bone marrow examination, serum calcium and beta 2 microglobulin levels etc. It would be prudent to discuss the matter with a hematologist.

Good evening doctors. Does immunofixation serum blood test with no monoclonal proteins found rule out multiple kidney myeloma? Is there a similar blood or urine test to rule out or rule in renal kidney amyloydosis?
My total protein had been increasing, so my dr had me test for multiple myeloma. Protein had come down to normal,no m-spike observed, everything normal except a slightly elevated kappa of 21.5 in serum (but normal in urine). Could I still have cancer?
I have inconsistent tests that lean toward multiple myeloma or MGUS. First xray lytic lesion; globulin series serum & urine monoclonal positive to gamma; 24 hr electopherurine neg; beginning anemia; BUN off; other small abnormals. Bone survey neg.
