Response: You are somewhat on the young side for ALS, but if there is a strong clinical concern from an experienced neuromuscular specialist, this needs to be confirmed. There are many causes of fasciculations, and weakness, and usually ALS is NOT the answer. Get a definitive opinion from a nearby expert.

Twitching bodywide 16 months. EMG clean (only fascias) at 12 months. Clean clinical at 15 months. Told BFS by neuro at 15 months. Can it still be ALS?
Can a normal neurologist clinical exam pretty much rule out ALS or should you do emg. ?
Had a clean EMG on right side body, but twitching is more active on left. The right side twitches as well, just less. Is this enough to say no ALS?
