GnRh Agonists: There is a class of drugs such as Synarel (nafarelin) and Lupron that do the same thing as the oral contraceptive pills, that is, to shut down any remaining Endometriosis implants that weren't seen at the time of surgery. This class of drugs are called Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone Agonists.(GnRh) and pregnancies are more likely to occur after their use. Talk to your GYN MD about this and other options.

No options: In order to maximize the likelihood to conceive it is prudent to take birth control pills for 3 months after endometriosis surgery
