Ankle Sprain: Of course you can take an aleve (naproxen). Alcohol and narcotics do not match up well, but aleve (naproxen) or advil are fine. Dr Rich Blake

Short-term use: Aleve (naproxen) and alcohol do not have significant interactions associated with short-term use, you can safely take Aleve (naproxen) after drinking two beers. Continued use can increase the risk of stomach problems already associated with Aleve (naproxen).
