How can i get rid of the pain i have had a horrible toothache for two days, and can't get an appointment yet. i have tried orajel, naproxen, and salt water. it feels like i have been hit in the face with a hammer

Every : Every dentist who has treated me in the past, considers severe tooth pain to be urgent. If your dental clinic becomes aware that you are suffering from severe pain, i would be surprised if they did not find a way to get you seen. If you have been too busy, to make an appointment, i suggest that you try to make it a priority. Depending on the location, what feels like a toothache might actually have a different cause. Your : Your condition cannot wait. You must make the visit to the dentist your priority over any and all other obligations, including work. There is always a dentist who is looking to help you. MAY : May i suggest that you try a pain killer like tulenol. The pills and oinment you have been using are not going to touch your toothache you need a pain killer and a dentist. Naproxen is a non steroidal anti inflammatory drug that will reduce inflammation but not necessarily stop pain. Stop self medicating and go to a dentist.
