Been advised i have a 2x3x2 ovarian cyst heterogeneous in nature. what does heterogeneous in nature mean? what follow up do you suggest?

Means many things: Homogeneous means that the cysts would look like a clear "water balloon" on ultrasound which is filled with one type of substance(water). Heterogeneous means that the cyst is filled with many different types of tissue that is often not "clear" like water .Although the ovarian cysts are very small a repeat ultrasound or MD visit would be advisable in 6 months or sooner if there is pain.
