A member asked:

Very painful heterogeneous ovarian cyst growing and looking more 'solid'. should i be concerned? generally feel rubbish with it all too.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Seek Gyn oncologist: It is usually recommended that a complex ovarian lesion "looking more solid" be carefully evaluated and removed for pathological examination (exploratory laparotomy or laparoscopic surgery) to rule out a malignant ovarian tumor. Although the risk of cancer is relatively low, it would be best to seek a consultation from and the expertise of a Gyn oncologist.
