NSAIDs-Tylenol OTC: One option may be to see if you qualify for Medicaid. Please, contact your social worker to check if you are eligible. If not, try contacting your local dental society to see if there are any upcoming free treatment programs.

Sorry but no: sorry but there is no over OTC Rx to use for an abcessed tooth. You need antibiotics and the only way to handle that is going to a dentist If you have medical insurance go to the ER....they will most likely give you an Rx to fill at your pharmacy....bad thing is that it will cost you time in the ER

Not really: Some may tell you do this or that and you may get temporary relief but an abscess is an infection and if it is tooth related then until the tooth is fixed or taken out it will come back over and over again. You can try OTC pain relievers but they will only be patch help not true help. Hope you find a dentist near by to help. Look for a health clinic with a dental office, they may be able to help

See below: Try the dental component of Obamacare, while it is still available. In addition, you are able to purchase discounted plans, this may be of some help.

Dental abscess: Afraid not. There are no OTC's that will cure a dental abscess (infection). Left untreated it can be debilitating and extremely dangerous. You must see a Dentist. Ask about a payment plan. Check with Social Services. Please do not put treatment off for the sake of all your tissues to which the infection can spread.
