A member asked:

Had my gallbladder out in september where i also had pancreatitis i keep getting a sharp pain in left side which is made worse by eating?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

LUQ pain.: Pains in the upper left abdominal quadrant could be from the stomach, spleen or tail of the pancreas. The stomach is likely in this context, or perhaps the esophagus. It would be unusual for eating food to inflame just the tail of the pancreas so I wouldn't initially think the pancreas would have any bearing here.
