How was the AIP diagnosis made? Did they take blood samples and antibody levels ? ERCP? Have you been treated for autoimmune pancreatitis? if you have been treated the fecal elastase test can revert to normal because the inflammation is quiescent. Discuss w/ GI if this is AIP or chronic pancreatitis from sludge see N Engl J Med 1992; 326:589-593 or other cause such as alcohol/abnormal duct
