Ashwagandha & Rhodio: Not a fan of supplements? And you're becoming a doctor? Your future patients will expect more from you. These two supplements are from the class of supplements called adaptogens, which promote decreased cellular sensitivity to stress. I recommend Jarrow brand Ashwagandha 2 capsules at night and one capsule of Rhodiola from Nature's Way in the morning. Anxiety will reduce and sleep improved.

Discuss with doctor: You say you are on Escitalopram at bedtime for about a year. Have you found it to be generally effective in addressing anxiety symptoms? If you are experiencing breakthrough anxiety, you may benefit from an adjustment of Escitalopram. Make sure you exercise regularly, eat healthfully and getting sufficient rest is imperative as you prepare. Recommend discussing with doctor. Good luck on USMLE!!
