No: B"sd no its the smallest dose . dose is titrated based on lowering of the pulse (so does not get too low) also need extra care with asthma - may exacerbate with severe bronchospasm. Otherwise, it is the best beta-blocker to protect heart from excess thyroid hormone levels. Also, added benefit with propranolol is that it blocks conversion of T4 to T3 (liothyronine) (the active form of thyroid hormone.)
