The answers are probably yes, but best to see the PCP or Endocrinologist for appropriate Detailed History, Physical, Labs and Imaging if indicated. The sooner the better as that will allay the anxiety.

Yes. I am not aware that propanol can prevent thyroid storm but is often used to treat the storm or earlier symptoms.
