No: From what you described, it is not a blood clot, just a bruise from banging into something. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.

Bruise and clot: The bruise itself is not a blood clot, and most superficial bruises resolve nicely in about 1 week. A big and deep bruise or hematoma may compress the deep veins and creates proper conditions for clot formation below compression site. Hope it helps.
