Synthroid (thyroxine) dose: With levothyroxine (synthroid) and normal pituitary function and no other concomitant illnesses the TSH is usually all your doc needs to look at. Are you taking the synthroid every day on an empty stomach? Are you sticking with one brand (i.e not switching from generic to brand)? Also, there can be errors in TSH measurement (labs are not perfect).

Thyroid misjudged: Thyroid is the most poorly managed endocrine gland today. Synthetic thyroid (synthroid) cannot convert to active thyroid if your liver is not healthy. Thyroid patients never feel right because a pill never fixes this. You have to completely revamp your lifestyle to get the liver/gut to convert the thyroid medication. So the following need to be checked: TSH,T4 and T3 (liothyronine) and also antibodies.
