Synthroid (thyroxine) : Higher doses of synthroid (thyroxine) should lower your tsh, not raise it. You should never change a dose of prescription medication without working out a plan with the doctor or health care provider who prescribed it to you and can monitor the results. Make an appointment with your doctor to discuss a plan that you both agree on.
