Plenty of substitute: The crucial event is that your nephew is getting good nutrition and is growing. We believe human breast milk is best but there are plenty of acceptable substitutes. There also may be other problems that the child might have with the act of sucking or swallowing. Also might be digestive issues. If mom is worried she should discuss it with the doc.
