How long should amitriptyline take to work for constant headaches? 10mg one a day

Depends: It isn't clear the types of headaches you are experiencing - tension, migraine, cluster etc. The use of amitriptyline may be good for some but not other types of headaches. Suggest you repost with the type of headaches your health care provider has diagnosed in order for an opinion on this forum.
