Work w/neurologist: I suggest continuing to work with your neurologist (specialist in headaches) until you've found a regimen that works for you. Since there are multiple alternatives, this may take some trial and error. Biofeedback, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness-based stress reduction course may also be of help.

See a specialist: Chronic headaches can be very difficult to diagnose and treat. I would recommend seeing a neurologist who specializes in headache treatment. There any many treatment options other than amitriptyline.
