I've got a pretty bad headache and it's time for my nightly dose of 10mg amitriptyline. can i take aleve or tylenol (acetaminophen) the same time i take amitriptyline?

Amitriptyline: Often, low dose Amitriptyline is prescribed to treat insomnia and headaches itself. Have you been on it long? It may be difficult to tell if it is helpful with headaches if you take it with an analgesic. I would try calling the prescriber and updating him/her re : your headache symptoms.
