On 20mg amitriptyline over a year for chronic sinus related headaches. it works for me, but worried about addiction? also, does it cause weight gain?

Amitriptylene: Amitriptylene is not an "addictive" medication. It does not induce tolerance as benzodiazepines like xanax, (alprazolam) etc, can. In some people it can increase appetite, leading to weight gain. However, you are on a very low (20mg) dose, so this is less likely.
