A few different docs: Medical genetics physician may be helpful in diagnosis if there is concern about an EDS type other than type 3. A physical medicine and rehabilitation physician would be best and helping to coordinate a plan for functional recovery. A rheumatologist would be helpful to look for other causes of joint pain such as an inflammatory disorder.
