Arthritis: Redness, warmth and pain are symptoms of arthritis. If they are short lived, rheumatoid arthritis is not likely. Keep a diary of your symptoms over a week or two and discuss with your primary care doctor. If symptoms are persistent, consider making an appointment to see a rheumatologist.
