Swollen knee bumps: Swollen red hot skin bumps can mean infection of the skin such as folliculitis or abscesses, particularly if they are spreading. Other types of inflammation can cause this, such as inflammation of the fat underneath the skin (panniculitis). This needs to be seen by a doctor as soon as possible.
