I am trying to lose weight and i am wondering if the essure device will make this difficult?

It should have no: impact on weight loss. Essure is a non-surgical sterilization procedure where inflammation inducing fibers are placed in the fallopian tube through the cervix/uterus causing tube scarring and sterilization. It is FDA approved, but, as you likely know, a number of women have reported problems with the procedure. But there is nothing about it that should interfere with sensible weight loss efforts.
