Expensive: You don't really need a cgms device if you are not a diabetic. Your blood sugar wouldn't fluctuate wide enough to require its use. A normal finger stick glucometer might be ok to use for now. If you are really interested in a cgms, you can have one but the insurance will not pay for it so you will need to pay cash. The cost is more than $1000 for the machine and apprx $200/month for supplies.

Watch Calories: Your main focus here in terms of weight loss should be calorie intake and/or burn. It's a simple equation for most of us.....You eat more calories than you burn.....You're going to gain. Start with a daily calorie log and see what your intake is like. Much more fruitful than tracking blood sugars.
