A member asked:

Lab informed me my c reactive protien is 2.9 and my sed rate rose from 8 to 17. are these normal levels?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sed rate okay: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, Your sed rate will vary with the menstrual cycle and is normal. CRP levels depends on the units. If it was high sensitivity CRP (hsCRP) it is higher than desirable.
