Yes: The ultrasound looks for the presence of the female reproductive parts and their "appearance of normality". However, Fallopian tubes can be blocked internally, endometriosis can be present & not "seen" by the ultrasound. It also doesn't include the "male factor", that is the ability of the contributing male sperm to be present, normal and enough numbers to impregnate. Infertility is multifactorial
