Yes: Hcg levels should double ever 48 hours in early pregnancy but stop doing so once they get up to 50000-100000and then can stay stable. The levels are used to see if pregnancy is normal early on before baby can be seen on ultrasound Once a baby with a heartbeat is seen in the uterus hcg are non helpful and should not be drawn. A baby with a heartbeat at 9ws sounds very normal
