Impractical: ABCs of managing trauma/wounds is worth learning rather, at any rate those incidents remain rare despite the publicity, and EMS or any first aid kits kept in cars or around should suffice, wishing you all health and safety

Not practical: Despite reports in the media, multiple shootings incidents are rare, more rare than lightning strikes. Be prudent, be safe, and in the case of any traumatic injury seek PROFESSIONAL care.

Not necessary: However, I recommend Red Cross First Aid and CPR training. Your first-aid skills may just save your life or life of others in any emergency situation.

No: These are used by the military for large fragmentation devices that avulse large soft tissue areas of the body ( ie. blow your arm/leg off) Civilian GSW are penetrating trauma where most of the bleeding is internal and these bandages would be of no avail.
