Medical Consult: I notice the meds listed. Yes, there is a mental component to anxiety, panic, worry and an inability to self-soothe. Also, there may be med interactions between Ovcon and Depakote and even HCTZ (hydrochlorothiazide). Grapefruit consumption or other foods or over-the-counter meds may also interact. Don't underestimate the role of hormones (thyroid?). Get lab work up AND talk to a skilled medically-oriented psychologist.

We know the cause: of panic/anxiety and we have Tx's that work--usually psychotherapy, and/or medication, at least initially. Your thinking is likely to sponsor both anxiety and depression, but you have to be aware of how your thinking is working, or not. CBT is the Tx of choice these days.
