Is the prozone effect common? about how common would you say it is?

Not Too Common: This prozone effect is found mainly in syphilis testing and can be expected in cases of disproportionately high antibody titers, such as secondary syphilis, or with human immuno-deficiency virus (HIV) coinfection. But, it can also occur with lower titres as well. Incidence is about 1%, but really depends on the population being studied (prevalence of the illness, age, stage of the illness, etc)

My syphilis test results say: Syphilis Screening Test (what is this?), RPR, TPPA and TMPA IgM ELISA. All negative at 8 weeks, but I am worried about prozone effect. Are these tests prozone proof? Worried also cuz my doc ordered retesting at 12 weeks?
