Rpr, vdrl occ false : vdrl and rpr can have false negs. prozone is when there is an overwhelming high antibody titer, such as in secondary syphylis. An FTA absorption test would help to clarify whether there is a prozone as well as dilution of the pt's serum

My syphilis test results say: Syphilis Screening Test (what is this?), RPR, TPPA and TMPA IgM ELISA. All negative at 8 weeks, but I am worried about prozone effect. Are these tests prozone proof? Worried also cuz my doc ordered retesting at 12 weeks?
