Hello doc, I want to ask the Prozone phenomenon on the syphilis test only affects the VDRL test? can the TPHA test be affected by the prozone phenomenon?
Should I still be worried after getting a negative HIV result and syphilis result (not sure type of test)? I heard about the "Prozone Effect"?
My syphilis test results say: Syphilis Screening Test (what is this?), RPR, TPPA and TMPA IgM ELISA. All negative at 8 weeks, but I am worried about prozone effect. Are these tests prozone proof? Worried also cuz my doc ordered retesting at 12 weeks?
I know a syphilis test is conclusive at 12 weeks (3 months). Does it make a difference if the test was done at (11 weeks 1 day) instead of 12 weeks? Test done is VDRL. Test was also done at 6.5,8 and 10 weeks and was negative?
