RF prophylaxis: Penicillin for Rheumatic Fever prophylaxis is due for several years after the acute episode,which you probably sustained in your childhood, and you already developed a rheumatic heart.Daily penicillin is used,not practical,that's why long acting penicillin injections are used every month for about 10 years,or till age 25 years, whichever is longer,depending on the type of heart problem,see comment
