Rheumatic Heart: This changes every few years- definitely check with your cardiologist to see what they recommend currently.

Changes: The antibiotic pre-treatment guidelines have changed over the years, and sometimes every year as research has caught up to procedures. Often, antibiotic coverage is recommended for joint replacements, heart disease, murmurs and pacemakers. But i would consult your doctor...It has changed quite a bit.
