What if i have a heart problem and i don't know it, and i get a dental cleaning, can i get very sick? should i take a penicillin to be safe?

Safe: Current recommendation is for premedication with antibiotics for only those people who have had heart surgery. If you are concerned, discuss this with your Dentist or Physician. You are at grater risk for heart (and other organ) damage if you have active gum disease. Important to have professional cleaning regularly.
