Suggestions: Talk to MD/DO about getting GERD under control. Referral to Gastroenterologist may be in order. Acids can weaken teeth. Do not chew on ice or hard candy. Ask Dentist to evaluate you for malocclusion which can cause a fractions...see Dentist for explanation. Also have Dentist evaluate you for clenching/grinding. A night guard may help.

Control GERD: Control the GERD, use a good fluoridated toothpaste and keep up on regular checkups. If you have severe damage and you have an increased risk of breakage then you may look at more aggressive options (crowns). I would be an conservative as possible though.
