Lots: Tooth and/or bone may have been damaged in failed attempt at removal. If tooth is abscesses it can cause pain. Partially impacted tooth can act as bacteria conduit to infect surrounding gums/bone. Why didn't Dentist refer you immediately to an Oral Surgeon? Please see one now.
