A member asked:

15 yr old daughter had ecg. qtc was 440 is this relevant with potassium over limit(5.0)at 5.4, breathless, palpitations, dizzy and rest h rate of 95+?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Qtc of 440 is in the normal range and unrelated to her symptoms. Tachycardia with borderline high potassium however raises a few possibilities including dehydration most commonly. A clinical exam and more detailed history from her primary physician can help sort this out
