Depends on iron: Generally I would expect recovery within a month to a normal hemoglobin, but this will depend on whether your iron stores are normal. I suggest rechecking in about 1 month and if the hemoglobin is not normal, having iron studies obtained. You may need to be on supplemental iron tablets.
