The right test to use would be the fecal occult blood test strip best coordinated by your doc in the community. It would be unusual to have rectal bleeding with no other symptoms and that has never happened in the past and would favor poorly digested food as the source, but if it becomes recurrent testing should be in place.

Agree with Dr. P. A normal hemoglobin per se does not rule out bleeding in the intestine. You may get a test for blood in stool in consultation with your doctor. For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. Get HPV and Covid vaccines.
